Rev. Ibrahim Said, one of the most eloquent preachers, was elected, at the time, pastor of this church in march of the same year.

1943

Due to the growing number of attendees in this Nascent Church, there was an urgent need for a large building. In December 1941, a palace overlooking the place now called “Tahrir Square” was purchased, in order to build a new church in its place. That palace overlooked a beautiful garden. It was and still is un-authorized to build churches anywhere in Egypt without a personal signature of the king or president, therefore there was a need for a permit to build the church.

King Farouk, King of Egypt at that time, signed the authorized statement to build the church on the 11th of March 1944 after being requested to do so by his personal teacher, “Ahmed Hassanein Pasha” at the time Ahmad Hassanein Pasha was studying in England and had resided in the house of the Rev. Alexander White, the great preacher and author of many books about the biblical characters. When he died, Dr. White’s wife decided to travel on a trip around the world. In Egypt, the king’s mentor, “Ahmed Hassanein Pasha”, took her to meet Rev. Ibrahim Said, who then asked him for permission to build the church and asked for Ms. White to see the signed authorization by the king before she left.

Rev. Mounir Abd El-Nour requested retirement from the esteemed council, which approved it on the condition that he remain an Honorary Pastor for Life.

He was allowed to keep his office and residence, and his retirement was celebrated in a special ceremony at the church in 2008. He then passed the torch to Rev. Samah Maurice, with a heartfelt wish:
"He must increase, but I must decrease."

Rev. Mounir Abd El-Nour entered eternal glory on September 14, 2015, and the church, along with loved ones, bid him farewell on September 15, 2015.

2008 - Present

The Lord has led the church through blessed steps. Under the leadership of Rev. Samah Maurice, the church expanded its ministry by training and sending evangelistic convoys to various regions in Egypt and beyond.

In Wadi El-Natrun, a stadium accommodating around 8,000 people was added to host revival meetings, prayer gatherings, and sports camps.

Rev. Samah also engaged in international field visits, strengthening the church’s network of friends and partners. The ministry expanded further through discipleship teams, evangelism, relief, and development efforts—both inside and outside Egypt.

Additionally, he oversaw the establishment of a media and broadcasting department to share sermons, conferences, and programs with millions in Egypt and beyond.

His leadership also revitalized youth ministries, bringing the younger generation back to the church, enriching the evangelical community.

The journey continues forward by God’s grace, with Jesus Christ as the head of the church, guided by the Holy Spirit.
