Operations Manager

Odette Wadie

Odette Wadie was born and raised in a Christian family. She Encountered Christ at the age of 15 and decided to dedicate her life to Him. She currently holds the position of Operations Manager overseeing six departments: Finance, Partnerships & Fundraising, Administration, Management Information Systems (MIS), Hospitality, and Church Services at Kasr El Dobara Evangelical Church. Odette lives in Cairo. Egypt, and is married to Eng. Hossam Samir and has two sons, Rafik and Fady.

 

Odette holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the Faculty of Commerce in 1995. She went on to complete her Master’s of Business Administration (MBA) in 2011. However, as she completing her degree, she felt called by God to dedicate her knowledge and experience to serve the Kingdom. During the year of 2020, she studied Leadership Development for Arab Women at the Afro-Asian Union for International Law and Dispute Resolution. Finally In 2021, she received her diploma in Mental Health from Ain Shams University.

 

Before joining KDEC full-time, Odette held several outstanding positions since graduating from business school. She Started out as a Program Coordinator at a Danish Agency from December 1995 until May 1996. She then went on to becoming a department Manager at the Canadian Agency where she held the Women’s Initiative Fund Project until May 2000. Right after, Odette joining the Egyptian-Swiss Development Fund as the HR and Administrative Manager until May 2009. She went on to become the Executive Director at the Service and Development Council until 2013. In 2013 she joined Kasr El Dobara Evangelical Church in 2013 as HR Director until 2021, where she was promoted to her current role as the Operations Manager.

Odette has proudly become a leading figure in Mary & Elizabeth Women’s Ministry.
