He was ordained as a pastor in 1993 and became the senior pastor in 2007.

Rev. Sameh Maurice, was a former distinguished surgeon, while also being involved in ministry throughout his medical career. In 1988, God called him to full-time ministry, and he became a member of the pastoral team at the Evangelical Church of Kasr El Dobara. He has led his church faithfully in praying for Egypt since the early 1980s, with a vision of a unified Egyptian church in mind. He is passionate about bringing true revival to local churches, believing it will spark a movement that leads to a nationwide growth of true believers in Egypt.

Along side his leadership, he is part of major ministries and great achievements. He

established Beit El Wadi Conference Center which was a a dream of Rev. Sameh, who always envisioned establishing a center for social services near Cairo. Construction began in 2000 on land in the Cairo-Alexandria desert. Over the years, Beit El Wadi expanded into a full-scale conference center that now hosts major evangelical, sports, and training events, as well as worship conferences.

In the year 2000, Rev. Sameh was a pioneer in using sports ministry in Egypt and the Middle East as an effective evangelistic tool. Kasr El Dobara Church continues to use this ministry for evangelism and discipleship.

In 2008, Rev. Sameh developed the School of Christ, a teaching series, which is regularly

broadcasted on Christian television channels and social media networks. It attracts millions of  viewers in the Arab world, Europe, Australia, and the United States. Due to high demand, the School of Christ series has now been translated into sixteen different languages.

During the Egyptian Revolution in 2011, Rev. Sameh opened Kasr El Dobara Church to serve as a field hospital for the wounded from Tahrir Square, the heart of the revolution and the location of the church.

Later on in 2016, Rev. Sameh founded the church planting movement “Days of Harvest” in Egypt. The vision is for the church to be on a mission to support other churches across the country, assisting them in evangelism, discipleship, prayer, and leadership training.

Rev. Sameh has been recognized for his outstanding Leadership. In 2016, Rev. Sameh

received an honorary doctorate from Nyack College in recognition of his faithful service in meeting the spiritual and medical needs of the community. In 2017, under his direct

supervision, many house groups grew, and new churches were planted in several areas of

Cairo. He authored two books on spiritual foundations and a book for married couples.

Rev. Sameh is one of the founders of the Kingdom Partners Global Network, a global network of pastors who learn together, grow together, and work together to expand God’s Kingdom in our generation.
